Your privacy is very important to us. SPECTRE conforms to industry standard market research practice, as espoused by The Market Research Society of Australia. We are personally committed and ethically bound by a Code of Professional Behaviour to keep your identity confidential. This assures you that our research is carried out honestly, objectively and without unwelcome intrusion or disadvantage to you as a respondent. The information we collect is only ever used for matching you with our client’s customer base. We do not report any data which identifies you as an individual respondent. On our site you can register with SPECTRE to become a mystery shopping assessor. As a member you will be provided with a personal username and password system which will give you access to your homepage. To register you must provide contact details and demographic information such as postcode, age, gender and occupation. We use this information to determine your suitability to participate in future assessments. If at some time in the future you no longer wish to be a panel member you may opt out.

IDENTIFIERS

SPECTRE will not adopt any respondent’s details as being its own, nor will we use any identifiers that have been assigned by the following.

  1. An agency
  2. An agent of an agency acting in its capacity as an agent
  3. A contracted service provider for a Commonwealth contract acting in its capacity as contracted service provider for that contract.

PROTECTION OF YOUR PERSONAL DETAILS

Access to your personal information (provided by you from participating in mystery shopping exercise is restricted to authorised research personnel. We will only use this information for our own research purposes. The details you provide are not passed on or presented to any third party or foreign country or published in any form without your expressed consent. You will not receive any sales efforts or other commercial benefit simply because you have participated in a SPECTRE survey.

CONTACT WITH SPECTRE TEAM

The allocation of work and the reporting phase are done via the website and should not requite any communication with us. Your homepage presents the projects available in your area. These assessments are offered to you but you are not obliged to take them. If you fit with the restrictions highlighted in the training, and you are available and willing to take on the assignment, you can allocate the job directly from home without our intervention. In the same manner you may change the date of the assignment or cancel it altogether. SPECTRE may contact you via e-mail or phone when we have urgent information for you.

OPT OUT and DATA CORRECTION

Your participation in any research is entirely voluntary. If at any stage you decide you do not wish to take part in our panel’s activities, please send us an e-mail with REMOVE FROM PANEL REQUEST in the subject heading. This will delete details that you have previously provided You can also update your contact details directly from your homepage.

SENSITIVE INFORMATION

SPECTRE will never store the following information;

  1. Racial or ethnic origin
  2. Religious beliefs or affiliations
  3. Political opinions or affiliations
  4. Philosophical beliefs
  5. Memberships of professional or trade associations
  6. Sexual preferences or practices
  7. Criminal record
  8. Health matters of an individual

COOKIES

During on-line research we will use cookies to help us with the research procedure. Our cookies contain small pieces of insignificant data such as the time, the date and the project ID. They are generated by our web-server and are temporarily placed on your computer in order to make the online research secure. At no time does SPECTRE use cookies to identify your computer's Internet address or to obtain unsolicited information from you.

OTHER IMPORTANT INFORMATION

SPECTRE will not interview or recruit to any panel a person under the age of 18 years. SPECTRE takes no responsibility for the accuracy or completeness of, or the representations made by the content of sites, that link from SPECTRE. SPECTRE maintains a strict "no-spam" policy. Your e-mail address will not be sold to a third party if register as a member of our mystery shopping panel.

CLIENT INFORMATION

As part of your registration from us you agree to keep all information about SPCTRE and our clients confidential at all times, including when if you request to opt out.
